Genuine BMW part 41 35 2 290 799: Torx bolt. The number stamped on the part is 41352290799; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2290799. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Hood. It supersedes the older number 9907998, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 touring and compact (316g, 316i, 318i, 318tds, 320i, 323i, 325tds and 1 other, 1994–1997), with the M41, M43, M51 or M52 engines.

BMW draws it on 21 diagrams, among them Side panel, front (41_0218) and Rear side panel (41_0372). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
