Genuine BMW part 11 71 2 249 909: Torx bolt. The number stamped on the part is 11712249909; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2249909. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Exhaust-gas recirculation. It supersedes the older number 2249292, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (318d, 318td, 320d, 320td and 330d, 1998–2005), with the M47, M47N, M57 or M57N engines.

BMW draws it on 40 diagrams, among them Emission reduction cooling (11_2231) and Emission reduction cooling (11_2338). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
