The number stamped on the part is 11311279125; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1279125. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under CAMSHAFT. It supersedes the older number 1469264, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1279126.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Timing+valve Train-Tooth Belt/Camshaft (11_0409) and Timing and Valve Train-Tooth Belt (11_1180). It weighs about 258 g (0.6 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
