Temperature sensor — a genuine BMW part, number 61 31 8 363 636. The number stamped on the part is 61318363636; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8363636. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Switch.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (328i and M3, 1996–1999), with the M52 or S50 engines.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Catalyst/Lambda Probe (18_0253) and Catalyst/Lambda Probe (18_1129). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
