This is a genuine BMW suction tube, part number 13 71 1 734 573. The number stamped on the part is 13711734573; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1734573. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Intake silencer. It supersedes the older number 1727892, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and compact (318i and 318ti, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42 or M43 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on the Suction Silencer/Filter Cartridge (13_1706) diagram. It weighs about 147 g (0.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
