Genuine BMW part 51 16 2 158 388: Storage pouch CD/DVD. The number stamped on the part is 51162158388; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2158388. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Mirrors, trims, storage compartments. It supersedes the older number 0390279, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, touring and compact (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Storage pouch CD/DVD (03_0702) and Storage pouch CD/DVD (03_1715). It weighs about 118 g (0.3 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
