This is a genuine BMW stop nut, part number 51 21 1 803 363. The number stamped on the part is 51211803363; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1803363. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. BMW has since replaced it with 7153450.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 and other engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (316i, 316i 1.6, 316i 1.9, 316ti, 318d and 318i, 1997–2004), with the M43, M47, M47N, N40, N42 or N45 and other engines.

BMW draws it on 110 diagrams, among them Volume air flow sensor (13_0363) and Volume air flow sensor (13_0365).
