It fits the E36 compact (318ti, 1995–1999), with the M42 or M44 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 11 diagrams, among them Side Panel/Tail Trim (41_0355) and Side Panel/Tail Trim (41_0359). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
