This is a genuine BMW steering column tube, part number 32 31 1 119 690. The number stamped on the part is 32311119690; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1119690. You will find it on our Steering shelf, under Other Steering parts. It supersedes the older number 1117178, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Steering Column-Column Tube/Attach.P (32_0382) and Steering Column-Column Tube/Attach.P (32_0383). It weighs about 313 g (0.7 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
