Spring strut, low, front — a genuine BMW part, number 31 42 7 729 432. The number stamped on the part is 31427729432; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7729432. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Telescopic fork, Telelever. It supersedes the older number 7712048, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 8529487.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 2.4 kg (5.3 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
