This is a genuine BMW spacer rings set, part number 33 12 9 065 180. The number stamped on the part is 33129065180; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9065180. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Rear Axle parts.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M42, M43, M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 11 diagrams, among them Drive Flange Suspension/Gasket Ring (33_0073) and Drive Flange Suspension/Gasket Ring (33_0372). BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It weighs about 240 g (0.5 lb).
