This is a genuine BMW socket housing, part number 12 52 7 519 996. The number stamped on the part is 12527519996; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7519996. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1437985, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (325i and M3, 2001–2006), with the M56 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Ignition coil/spark plug (12_1104) and Ignition coil/spark plug (12_1312). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
