Sliding roof drive unit with module — a genuine BMW part, number 67 61 6 918 977. The number stamped on the part is 67616918977; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6918977. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Other Electric drive unit/system parts. It supersedes the older numbers 6910471 and 6915796, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 6924685.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, touring and compact (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Single Parts for Sliding Lifting Roof (54_0186) and Slid.Lift. Roof-Cover/Ceiling Frame (54_0205). It weighs about 820 g (1.8 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
