Genuine BMW part 54 10 1 185 977: Sliding roof. The number stamped on the part is 54101185977; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1185977. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Folding top. It supersedes the older number 1172108, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7053424.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Lift-up-and-slide-back sunroof (54_0290) diagram. It weighs about 25 kg (55 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
