This is a genuine BMW sliding/lifting roof cover frame, part number 54 12 8 120 686. The number stamped on the part is 54128120686; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8120686. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Sliding Roof / Folding Top parts. It supersedes the older number 9068330, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Slid.Lift. Roof-Cover/Ceiling Frame (54_0177) diagram. It weighs about 2.4 kg (5.2 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
