Shifting roll — a genuine BMW part, number 23 00 7 693 793. The number stamped on the part is 23007693793; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7693793. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 7693741, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 681 g (1.5 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
