Shift lever — a genuine BMW part, number 25 11 7 527 257. The number stamped on the part is 25117527257; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7527257. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearshift. It supersedes the older number 1434113, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them BMW Performance gearshift, man. gearbox (03_2814) and Gear shifting, mech.transm./diesel (25_0281). It weighs about 278 g (0.6 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Installing set gear lever kinematic (0430355).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
