03 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Shackle — a genuine BMW part, number 11 12 1 734 343. The number stamped on the part is 11121734343; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1734343. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Cylinder head with cover. It supersedes the older number 1709027, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan (318i, 1992–1998), with the M40 engine — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Cylinder head attached parts (11_1342) and Cylinder head attached parts (11_4370). It weighs about 112 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
