The number stamped on the part is 51212990433; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2990433. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 2990424, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the One-key locking (41_1966) diagram. It weighs about 220 g (0.5 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set uniform lock.syst. w/CAS cntrl(code) (0037585) and Set uniform lock.syst. w/CAS cntrl(code) (0037586) and 18 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
