Set of wooden covers — a genuine BMW part, number 51 41 8 239 229. The number stamped on the part is 51418239229; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8239229. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 9415913, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2005), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Retrofit real wood version, maple (03_1370) and Retrofit real wood version, maple (03_1371). It weighs about 1.3 kg (3.0 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
