Genuine BMW part 24 23 1 421 555: Set of adjusting plates. The number stamped on the part is 24231421555; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1421555. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1421177, 1421178, 1421179, 1421180 and 15 others, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 19 diagrams, among them A5s560z Parking Lock (24_0672) and A5s560z Brake Clutch D/E1/E2 (24_0688). It weighs about 100 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
