Set, control unit — a genuine BMW part, number 24 34 7 509 519. The number stamped on the part is 24347509519; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7509519. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1423871, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7514739.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 8.9 kg (20 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
