This is a genuine BMW set connecting rod, part number 11 24 1 743 075. The number stamped on the part is 11241743075; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1743075. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Connecting rod with bearing. It supersedes the older number 1247742, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1437618.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 2.2 kg (4.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
