Genuine BMW part 51 41 7 053 138: Self-locking hex nut. The number stamped on the part is 51417053138; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7053138. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 1356101, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 120 diagrams, among them Autom.Transmiss.Steptronic Shift Parts (25_0246) and Gear shift Steptronic, all-wheel-drive (25_0274). It also comes in BMW kit Retro.kit, window lifts, electric, front (9058520).
