Genuine BMW part 32 11 1 116 563: Securing plate. The number stamped on the part is 32111116563; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1116563. You will find it on our Steering shelf, under Other Steering parts. It supersedes the older number 1115237, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 7 diagrams, among them Tie Rods with Steering Damper (32_0300) and Tie Rods with Steering Damper (32_0301). It weighs about 6 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
