Seat cushion schwarz — a genuine BMW part, number 52 53 1 240 039. The number stamped on the part is 52531240039; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1240039. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Seat bench. It supersedes the older number 1240405, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1237834.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 4.0 kg (8.8 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
