Genuine BMW part 24 11 7 533 656: Screw plug, inner hexagon. The number stamped on the part is 24117533656; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7533656. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearbox housing, oil sump. It supersedes the older number 7504750, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them A4S200R oil pan/oil strainer (24_0974) and A5S360R/390R oil pan/oil strainer (24_0996). It weighs about 8 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
