The number stamped on the part is 51181813015; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1813015. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 9907669, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 coupe (M3, 2003), with the S54 engine.
BMW draws it on 17 diagrams, among them Engine Hood Mechanism (41_0088) and Engine Hood Mechanism (41_0464). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
