What's Included

This is a genuine BMW rubber grommet, part number 31 42 1 236 240. The number stamped on the part is 31421236240; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1236240. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Telescopic fork, Telelever. It supersedes the older numbers 2309227 and 2350507, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, touring and compact (316i 1.9, 325td and 325tds, 1991–1999), with the M43 or M51 engines. It also fits every E46 body style (320i, 325i and 330i, 2001–2006), with the M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 95 diagrams, among them Intake manifold system (11_1219) and Intake Manifold System-Agr (11_1252). It also comes in BMW kits Theft alarm, mounting parts (7688746) and Holder, BMW Motorrad Navigator (8558282) and 1 more.

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
