Right seat angle adjustment — a genuine BMW part, number 52 10 8 240 312. The number stamped on the part is 52108240312; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8240312. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Tail trim. BMW has since replaced it with 7111880.
It fits the E46 coupe (323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 2000–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Seat, front, tilt adjustment (52_2596) diagram. It weighs about 1.3 kg (2.9 lb).
