Genuine BMW part 11 28 1 437 449: Ribbed v-belt. The number stamped on the part is 11281437449; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1437449. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Other Engine parts. It supersedes the older number 1437873, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M50, M52 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 8 diagrams, among them Belt Drive-Vibration Damper (11_0335) and Belt Drive Climate Compressor (11_1345). It weighs about 80 g (0.2 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Installing set air conditioning (0008718) and Installing set air conditioning (9408654).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
