This is a genuine BMW rep.cable belt tensioner and ctrl unit, part number 61 12 6 937 522. The number stamped on the part is 61126937522; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6937522. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Auxiliary cable. It supersedes the older number 6926955, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9118132.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Rep. cable, airbag (61_1926) diagram. It weighs about 53 g (0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
