This is a genuine BMW rear upper belt without child protection, part number 72 11 8 261 029. The number stamped on the part is 72118261029; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8261029. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Parts and accessories, body parts. It supersedes the older number 7138690, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 convertible (323i, 325i, 330i and M3, 2000–2006), with the M52, M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on the Safety belt rear (72_0387) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 780 g (1.7 lb).
