01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW rear panel with net bag, part number 52 10 8 235 904. The number stamped on the part is 52108235904; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8235904. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Tail trim. It supersedes the older number 8240384, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, touring and compact (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Retrofit, net bag at seat backrest (03_2651) and Front Seat Backrest Frame/Rear Panel (52_2305). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 911 g (2.0 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
