Genuine BMW part 66 12 9 268 489: Radio remote control PCA. The number stamped on the part is 66129268489; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9268489. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio-controlled locking system. It supersedes the older numbers 2296930 and 6986562, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 8 diagrams, among them Radio remote control (41_1639) and Key (41_1749). It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set of keys with CAS control unit (0032475) and Set uniform lock.syst. w/CAS cntrl(code) (0032478) and 56 more.

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
