This is a genuine BMW radio remote control PCA, part number 66 12 9 259 718. The number stamped on the part is 66129259718; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9259718. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio-controlled locking system. It supersedes the older numbers 2296806 and 9226936, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 6 diagrams, among them Key (41_2022) and Key (41_2131). It weighs about 30 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set uniform lock.syst. w/CAS cntrl(code) (0037836) and Set uniform lock.syst. w/CAS cntrl(code) (0037842) and 17 more.

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
