The number stamped on the part is 66126959045; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6959045. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio-controlled locking system. It supersedes the older numbers 0396045 and 6941450, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Radio remote control (41_1417) diagram. It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set of keys with CAS control unit (0030316) and Set of keys with CAS control unit (0030631) and 8 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
