Genuine BMW part 51 44 8 213 958: Radio burglar alarm cover. The number stamped on the part is 51448213958; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8213958. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 8217360, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 touring (316i, 318i, 318tds, 320i, 323i, 325tds and 328i, 1994–1997), with the M41, M43, M51 or M52 engines. It also fits the E46 sedan (320i, 323i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2005), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Headlining / Handle (51_2206) and Headlining (51_3251). It weighs about 96 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
