This is a genuine BMW prime coated upper tail part, part number 52 53 1 453 479. The number stamped on the part is 52531453479; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1453479. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Seat bench. It supersedes the older numbers 2303058 and 2308265, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1455265.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 2.7 kg (5.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
