Genuine BMW part 07 12 9 925 765: Prestol-cage. The number stamped on the part is 07129925765; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9925765. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 44 diagrams, among them Mechanical Connection Elements (41_0982) and Mechanical Connection Elements (41_1433). BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It also comes in BMW kit Set mounting parts (9056508).
