16 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Plastic bolt — a genuine BMW part, number 11 12 7 790 984. The number stamped on the part is 11127790984; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7790984. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Cylinder head with cover. It supersedes the older number 7781458, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (318d, 320d and 330d, 1998–2005), with the M47, M57 or M57N engines.
BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Cylinder head cover (11_2316) and Cylinder head cover (11_3934). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
