This is a genuine BMW planet wheel carrier, part number 24 24 1 218 090. The number stamped on the part is 24241218090; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1218090. It supersedes the older number 1205969, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 25 diagrams, among them Zf 3hp22 Planet Wheel Set (24_0188) and Zf 3hp22 Planet Wheel Set (24_0190). It weighs about 712 g (1.6 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
