This is a genuine BMW output shaft, part number 24 21 1 216 254. The number stamped on the part is 24211216254; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1216254. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Input, intermediate and output shafts. It supersedes the older number 1215466, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 16 diagrams, among them Zf 4hp22/24 Drive Clutch E (24_0412) and Zf 4hp22/24 Drive Clutch E (24_0415). It weighs about 911 g (2.0 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
