This is a genuine BMW O-ring, part number 17 22 7 680 667. The number stamped on the part is 17227680667; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7680667. You will find it on our Cooling System shelf, under Oil cooler lines. It supersedes the older number 0052839, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
