Genuine BMW part 13 71 1 284 260: O-ring. The number stamped on the part is 13711284260; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1284260. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Intake silencer. It supersedes the older number 1250748, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 8 diagrams, among them Suction Silencer/Filter Cartridge (13_0545) and Suction Silencer/Filter Cartridge (13_0546). It weighs about 11 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (9059248) and Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (9065705) and 3 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
