O-ring — a genuine BMW part, number 11 44 2 245 402. The number stamped on the part is 11442245402; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2245402. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Oil cooler with inlet and outlet lines.
It fits the E36 sedan, touring and compact (318tds, 1994–1995), with the M41 engine.
BMW draws it on the Lubrication system-Oil filter (11_1457) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 1 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Gasket Set Engine Block Asbesto Free (2246703).
