Loudspeaker stereo — a genuine BMW part, number 65 13 8 378 555. The number stamped on the part is 65138378555; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8378555. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Navigation system. It supersedes the older number 8378557, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 convertible and compact (323i, 325i, 330i and M3, 2000–2006), with the M52, M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Loudspeaker rear Stereo System (65_0680) and Loudspeaker rear Harman Kardon (65_0682). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 330 g (0.7 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
