This is a genuine BMW left side member, part number 41 12 7 039 693. The number stamped on the part is 41127039693; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7039693. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Bodywork parts. It supersedes the older number 8233495, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2005), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Single Components for Body-Side Frame (41_1095) and Single Components for Body-Side Frame (41_1271). It weighs about 5.6 kg (12 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
