This is a genuine BMW left drive unit, part number 67 62 8 360 059. The number stamped on the part is 67628360059; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8360059. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Other Electric drive unit/system parts. It supersedes the older number 8357079, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 coupe (318i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M42 or S50 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on the Door Window Lifting Mechanism Front (51_2055) diagram. It weighs about 929 g (2.0 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
