This is a genuine BMW leather lid, part number 51 16 7 249 654. The number stamped on the part is 51167249654; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7249654. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Mirrors, trims, storage compartments. It supersedes the older number 7072494, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Front CAN Holder (51_5091) diagram. It weighs about 490 g (1.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
